What is Porn Is Killing Me About?
This is a mentoring and addiction support site, helping men (and women) get FREE of porn and HEAL the relationships in their lives.
Who I am.
My name is Jay Pyatt (jay@porniskillingme.com) and I have been through the whole addiction process. Read More. In the 20+ years I've been married, I have been through counseling, accountability, and struggle.
I have been free of porn since 2010 and I am now a Certified Sexual Integrity Mentor, and I want to help you find the freedom you want.
Philosophy
I believe that most men struggle with porn or lust on a regular basis. I think there are many reasons for this but the primary is that healthy relationships are not easy. We learn the skills of relationship by interaction. A lot of those interactions end badly. This leads to under-developed abilities that continue to cause problems.
Strategy
"What got you here, won't get you where you want to go." Continuing to practice the same pattern of relationship will not get you the outcome you desire. You will take a new approach based on eliminating triggers or increasing the distance between the trigger and the response.
Tools
In the last 20 years, my wife and I have collected hundreds of relationship tools that we will make available through this site. These tools will enrich your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual life. As you get more practice in these areas your relationships will improve.
Methods
I approach the addiction as an "unhealthy outlet, for a healthy desire". You are not broken, flawed, or alone because of this struggle. I provide coaching and other resources as part of the packages I offer.
How I work.
1 I make you the hero of your own story. I'm the guide, the Yoda to your Skywalker. You will have many hours of hard work that will challenge you to grow. You will change your approach to the relationships that are most important to you.
2 I give you feedback and listen to your needs. This is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Your life is unique and I want to walk with you through the process.
3 In the mentoring program, I work with individuals 1-on-1 to build new skills and structure. As we work together, you will have 4 phone calls a month, homework, challenges, and regular support.
